Works perfectly! Practice first.

This takes some practice, so do it with a few notes first. If you use a heat gun, keep it moving, otherwise it will turn yellow or even burn. Notice how long it takes to flatten out when the glue is hot enough to press down. I used a giant flat butter knife and never touched anything with the sharp edge, just the flat surface and the other blunt side. Depending on the outside or room temperature, the time required for this varies and in colder conditions you have to work faster so that the adhesive cools down. Make smaller sections when it's cool or below 70 degrees. It's not easy at first and takes some practice, but it's worth it. Once you've done a few ribs, you can start to feel more professional about it. Take your time trimming off the excess to avoid cutting off too much. I basically shaved off small pieces with a razor blade until I had the finished product appearance. Some of my work matches the original edges, score! Building an Ikea kitchen and this product saved me from cut panels and such. Fits perfectly and doesn't stand out. I spent a lot more time with all edges visible.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
