Simply carefully cut off the broken rod tip with a razor blade or a small pipe cutter, roughen the rod tip with light emery, heat the glue with a lighter and attach the correct rod tip. Quick Tip: Dry the tip BEFORE gluing, work quickly after applying the hot glue and make sure the tip lines up with the other guides before the glue cools. (If not built in, use a high power hair dryer to heat the tip and re-stick instead of using a lighter and firing a new tip). All in all it's super easy. If you can tie a hook, you can attach the pole!
