I used to use them with no problems but last time I bought 2 packs of 50 and it seems that more than half of the discs in each pack have manufacturing defects on the recording surface, the one prevent proper recording - when recording errors are not reported, but freeze during playback and some sections of the disc are skipped during recording. Used the same images to burn to a different brand disc when they failed - they worked fine. These discs have defects near the outer edge of the discs, so recordings usually get stuck on playback about halfway through if one of the bad discs is recorded. I have used these discs with another brand that has been very good in the past due to similar quality control issues - it seems like no reputable manufacturer is interested in making good quality recordable discs at a reasonable price anymore. - haven't tried the Verbatim brand but their prices are so high I could put everything on external hard drives for less money than their DVD media.
