📀 HP DVD+R DL Double Layer 8X 8.5GB White Inkjet Printable 50-Pack Spindle Review

I used to swear by HP. I still use their DVD 4.5 discs and they work great. However, these are terrible. I average 1 slice for every 7 coasters. I don't know if they've changed who releases their CDs, but now they're just the worst. Also, the ones that burned properly had bleeding issues when I tapped them. Printer passed diagnostics, everything works. The coating couldn't render a single straight line in the image without the colors flowing into each other. Just awful!

Absolutely useless for me. I have an internal HP DVD-RAM UJ8B1 drive and an external Samsung SE-506BB BluRay/DVD/CD writer. I tested with ImgBurn and Nero SpeedDisk at all available speeds. Each disc was a stand. In the Samsung drive, the disks ignited, but at the very end, when closing the disk, an error appeared with a power calibration error. When attempting to backup a disc using cloneDVD software, the first disc played for the first 5 minutes before the video froze and tried been, rewind forward, skip to the next scene, etc. will not unlock the video. I was very pleased to see that the surface coating on the discs evenly covered the entire disc. The surface is white with no discoloration or bleeding from the opposite side, making the surface very suitable for labeling. I don't know why these blanks were sold so cheaply other than the pink labels on the spindle. I used to use them with no problems but last time I bought 2 packs of 50 and it seems that more than half of the discs in each pack have manufacturing defects on the recording surface, the one prevent proper recording - when recording errors are not reported, but freeze during playback and some sections of the disc are skipped during recording.
