I had to believe previous reviews that suggested the Celestron LandScout 20-60's magnification range is just over 2 to 1 , rather than the advertised 3 to 1. That means the actual range is 20x to 42x, NOT 20x to 60x. And I had to believe that anything over 30x is pretty much useless as it just adds blur. Moving the focus ring requires so much force that it's difficult to get accurate focus. And it's almost impossible to focus without shaking the scope. As if that weren't enough, the eye relief is short and narrow, making it difficult to keep your eyes on the sweet spot to see the full picture. This makes using the digiscoping attachment much more difficult. On my iPhone I only have a small round image in the middle of the frame. With my Android, I got an enlarged image that still didn't fill the frame, but I couldn't focus on it. I would classify the digiscoping adapter as a joke. However, the Celestron Landscout 20-60 arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The item was double boxed with the scope in its carrying case and the eyepiece in its own protective plastic sleeve. The visor was protected from moisture three times during transport. I had no complaints about the build quality of the visor. A table tripod is suitable for this scope. Bottom line: an image at 20x seems good if you can keep an eye on the sweet spot. Overall I am very disappointed. Thankfully, Revain makes it easy to come back.
