Just to say this was my first time using a polishing tool so I was completely clueless what to expect and if I was going to get it right but this thing is totally forgiving and gave me results that exceeded my expectations. I recently bought a battered VW and while the car itself was fine, the paintwork needed serious attention. There were many scuffs and scratches all around. paint and spray on some panels. and I don't think it has ever been washed in the last three years! So, I read about auto detailing. I chose the clay, mass, polish, wax route. in this order. All I used was Meguiar's based mostly on their product reviews. wanted something with a smaller head that would allow me to work in smaller spaces without leaving the panel. It meets both requirements. After the tone (totally blown away there too, first time for me too) I quickly washed and rubbed the records (I only ever did one at a time) and used the "Compound Power Pack" which is a different head is and is supplied with a final link. I've found that with deeper scratches, if I hit it a few times and run the head/drill speed slowly, it removes the scratches for me.
