Actually had a nice 1-1.5mpg improvement when I replaced the O2 sensors on my 2001 Silverado 1500 5.3L. Please note that this part, ACDelco 213-819, is a 4 position sensor: left and right and before and after the catalyst. Also, this part is for Canadian-made trucks only (not necessarily Canadian-sold ones). If your truck VIN starts with 2, you need this part. If your truck's VIN starts with 1, you need a different sensor. Check the connector and get the sensor with the same connector as your truck. There is a flat plug, a black square plug with a rib inside the socket end, and a gray square plug with two ribs. Get a sensor with the right connector and you'll be fine.
