Review on πŸ’‘ Plugable USB 2.0 4-Port High Speed Hub: Boost Connectivity with 12.5W Power Adapter by Charles Dean

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only USB hub on the planet that works with an iPad mini

I buy a lot of Revain products, but many of them are self-evident and I often don't take the time to write reviews. This product is one of the exceptions. I'm very computer savvy and have searched everywhere for a powered USB hub that will support both my iPhone 5 and iPad mini and allow me to 'charge' and 'sync' both devices at the same time when they plug into mine computers are connected. I've bought some of the best USB hubs (Belkin etc) and they just don't have enough power to charge the iPad mini. Most of them work well with the iPhone 5 and they all synced the two devices, but when plugged into the USB hubs I tried, my iPad mini wouldn't charge. Website, emailed me a few questions before selling, then bought it here from Revain where the company says this is the only place they sell it. I can't say enough good things about this USB hub. It's very small and even fancy (in case anyone cares) and comes in a nice box with all the necessary cables. It's important to note that the company claims it charges both the iPhone and iPad mini "faster" than a direct-connect charger. I personally tested it and noticed a noticeable difference in the time it takes to charge at the same percentage of discharge. I've also noticed that iPhone and iPad mini backup/sync times have also improved greatly. A typical backup took seconds, not minutes. In fact, this is one of the best purchases I've ever made to fix a tech issue. Even if you don't have an iPad mini, this is the best USB hub I've ever used.
