This 10ft cable is great for connecting a late 2016 MB Pro to a 4K TV.
I bought this cable to connect my late 2016 13" MacBookPro to a 55" LG 4K TV. I've been using Airplay to display photos from Adobe Lightroom on a 4K TV, but my AppleTV is an older model that caps the resolution at 1920x1080. When I connected the TV with this cable, the MacBookPro immediately recognized the LG 4K TV and the increase in resolution on the TV screen was easy to see. Signage text in some photos that was unreadable using Airplay on the TV was clearly readable using this cable to make an HDMI connection. (Remember to disable Airplay when connecting this cable, otherwise Airplay will limit the MacBookPro's output resolution). Some information online suggests you need a 5.9ft or shorter cable to transmit 4K over HDMI, but this 10ft cable worked fine for me (I haven't tried 4K video yet ).
