This is a worthy accessory for the Ghost Control gate opener if you live in a windy area. The mounting design is very solid and connecting to the gate opener is easy enough. But it has a very nasty flaw, which is that the lock won't open when it comes into contact with the metal case that comes with the kit. Who thought it was a good idea? If the wind blows, it is quite possible that the lock will be blown away and touch the metal case. You have to get out of the car, manually push the gate so that the lock does not touch the body, and then try to open it again. Very annoying. Plus, it's pretty expensive for what it is: a padlock attached to some sort of electrical wire. If there was a competing product that would work with Ghost Controls' opener, I would buy it. But they have a monopoly on their own supplies, so they have no incentive to offer a cheaper, flawless product. not so.
