So my VTEC coil failed and while poking around on YouTube (like all real mechanics do) I found that people change this part too. Revane also said that people are buying this part too. Replacing the VTEC control valve takes a little longer. I also noticed that the original gasket is leaking, so win. Very simple: remove the V-belt (on the side), move the steering pump (do not disconnect it), then remove the belt tensioner. From there it's two bolts and a quick swap and cleaning and you're good to go. By the way, even if you need a new belt, now is the perfect time for a new belt. The part arrived quickly and came in plain packaging but with the correct part numbers so I was happy with that.
