The long hose is very useful
The long hose is the reason I got this and it looks like a well made product. It screws on easily enough and the only downside I think is that if you screw it the wrong way the spout will want to stick out if you don't hold it tight. However, this works in your favor during storage. After dosing, let it drip for a minute and I kept it on for another hour and a half and no leaks. It is highly recommended to use a cola bib tube for use with a carbonated stream.
