Review on Dorman 955 1438 Sequoia Passenger Replacement by Todd Vesci

Wow I'm so happy I got this product. I was concerned if buying a part from Toyota would fit. How am I ever going to paint it? I took it out of the box and looked at it and apart from the missing color it looked exactly the same. The front part that contains the paint comes separately in a box. That way it could be painted before sticking it on. But I didn't, what I did was even better. My old one broke so it will be replaced. I pulled the mirror out of my old one and it has tabs holding the color plate. I kept it on the unpainted and they are about the same. So I practiced putting it on on the old one to make sure I could do the right order. Well, maybe I made a mistake starting at the top and sides, and after that I probably should have started from the bottom. Although it was so good I couldn't take it off without pulling out the mirror on a new one. Which is good enough for me, I had a replacement unit with the original cap. Took me about 10 minutes to put a new one in and it works. Can't say it wasn't original, especially with the old painted lid. I would definitely buy this again.
