Purchased to fill the gap between my level of experience and the desired end product we were looking for which was excellent alignment and no edge. He did it, great. The problem arises when you are actually tightening the posts with rotating washers. Because of the shape of the base, the tile actually pulls up and away from the thin layer. We were lucky: some tiles stuck while others showed up. I'm sure this could have been avoided with more attention, but since the product 'even a novice can do' it was a little frustrating.
