As this is my first and only juicer, there is no benchmark for me to use. Does a good job of squeezing out the juice, the cake appears to be dry, and the juice does contain pulp, but only to a tolerable degree (I still decant it). The juicer is pretty noisy. Before squeezing the juice out of fruits, it is best to cut them up first. The opening that they fit through in the juicer is small, making it difficult to use with the typical apple. If you're not careful, fruit slices can become caught in the gap between the top lid and the spinning part of the food processor. Sometimes you get lucky and the fruit slice falls out of the gap when you add the next piece of fruit, but other times you have to take the lid off the food processor to free it. (Subjectively) The initial cleaning of fruits is necessary in order to acquire tasty juice, hence this step cannot be skipped. If you squeeze juice from an orange with a peel, for instance, the juice will taste more like the peel since the flavor will be more concentrated in it. This will make the juice bitter. To tell you the truth, the amount of work that is required to be put into squeezing does not justify the end result (assembling a juicer, peeling and cutting the fruits, squeezing the fruits, straining the juice, disassembling the juicer, rinsing every component, and laying it out to dry). However, this is not a problem with a particular product.
