This bag offers enough space for several balls of yarn as well as project and circular knitting needles. The orange loop has a switch so you can close it to keep your treats inside. The thread is passed through the hole, and inside there is a domed loop that holds the thread as it is fed. What I like most about these bags is the smooth fabric that doesn't saw through the yarn or cause pilling. The large bag (I have both the med bag and the small one) has two orange loops and can be slipped over the arms to wear as a small backpack if desired. I'm quite tall and could carry it on my back. It has an outer scalloped loop that can be wrapped around the wrist to dangle while knitting. I liked the bag, I recommend it.
