The initial setup was a bit difficult due to software changes between my system and the scanner. This issue was resolved quickly and professionally by a Pacific Image Electronics customer service representative. Apparently, she was well versed in all aspects of the scanner and how it interacted with a wide variety of computers of different makes, models, and modifications. It was really nice to deal with someone who could reasonably discuss the issue at hand, as opposed to the usual gibberish one encounters with this type of call. Obviously Pacific Image really cares about its image. I would recommend any of their products to anyone who asks for them. The work is as advertised. The reproduction corresponds exactly to the image on the slides and can be improved within acceptable limits during the download process. While it can be a bit slow for some users, the playback quality is worth the time. Overall I am very happy with the scanner and the support I received.
