The lightbulb works so far so good.
I bought two light bulbs. The first bulb burned out in just over two weeks; However, when I opened the case, I saw that the bulb had popped out of its spring-loaded socket for reasons unknown. I haven't installed a second bulb yet, but the original bulbs (same type and manufacturer) lasted over 3 years. Let's hope that the new lamps have a comparable durability.
