I used this heater and temperature controller to build a sourdough prover for winter baking. My house is kept cool in the winter, so I needed very little heat to make my bread riser work better. This combination of controller and heater worked great for that. I attached the heater to a cheap quarter sheet pan and then popped it into a large styrofoam cooler. I inserted a temperature probe and set the regulator to 78F. It heated up fairly quickly within 20 minutes and kept the temperature at a stable temperature you would expect from a simple on/off controller. With nothing in the radiator, the temperature rises to about 80 degrees after the heater is turned off, and drops to about 76 degrees after the heater is turned on before starting to rise again. Of course, with something in the cool box, the rocking isn't that big. Importantly, it keeps my dough at around 76 degrees throughout the proofing time, which makes it excellent. Perfect. The temperature sensor is also accurate enough to measure the temperature of the air inside the box, which I tested with the ThermaPen and an IR gun. Overall it works great for what I use it for!
