Dog and cat filters are the same for those who need to know. These filters don't last more than 3 days. There were problems with clogging of the pump. I thought it was hair as I have cats and a dog. But this polyester filter material gets into the water. I wash the filter before installing it. After about a day the pump will run slower and by the second day the rear tank will be full of filter lint. I don't know how it gets through the charcoal side but it frustrates me that my pets could ingest the polyester filter residue. I run the bowl without a filter and only change the water twice a day.
