Great product, I didn't use sealant, it doesn't leak - great seal. However, the installation work itself is VERY complicated. I'm not a mechanic but would rate the installation as very difficult and not for a beginner. I'm very good with wrenches and the videos on You Tube helped me, but I still had a really hard time. I found that I had to remove the exhaust pipe bolts to allow the exhaust pipe to fall and the sump to swing down. I also had to grind down a small 1/4 inch protruding portion of the sump next to the bolt that attaches to the oil pump to give me more clearance.
