I didn't know how well this worked until I started tasting the water (IMHO, water isn't supposed to taste good). After a few days, the taste made me choke. That's when I decided to test both pre-filtered water and filtered water from a filter that I suspected would need to be replaced after just a month. The tap water showed 355 and the monthly filter showed 6. After changing the filter I am satisfied again. But since it's getting expensive for me due to poor water quality, I'll use the double filtration method mentioned in another review.
