Don't Do It!: Lighting Fixtures and Accessories

I bought 50 pieces to fit some work trucks. The waterproof shrink joints used are wrapped in all joints to keep water out. The lights didn't even last 2 weeks before they started getting wet and dying. 10 out of 50 didn't make it to 10 days! I have the same Optronics headlights on other trucks and they have lasted over 5 years with no problems in fairly harsh New England conditions. VERY DISAPPOINTED with this product.

Pros

These LED surface mount lights have 2 holes, one in each. Due to the arrangement of the wires and the mounting of the lamp, you will need to drill holes for the screws AND for the surface of the wires. The screw holds both the back and the lens cap, making it sealed and waterproof. Also, mounting them vertically makes them more visible than mounting them horizontally.
