These little pens are ideal for many species of real spiders. A consistent enclosure size makes it easier to display these animals rather than just keeping them. The lids are easy to open and close and the magnet helps keep them secure for small species that you would keep in an aviary of this size. Ventilation is adequate and it's easy to add extra ventilation if needed (either by enlarging existing holes or adding new holes). Although the cost to use it across my entire collection is a bit prohibitive (compared to deli mugs), I've found that I enjoy animals a lot more.
