I have been using Zojirushi bread makers for many, many years. I'm in the 3rd car. I used to replace the blades because the Teflon coating was fading. This time, after careful consideration of the design, the blades are specially designed to wear in such a way that the axes rotate freely. Wrong and dangerous as tiny bits of aluminum will actually dissolve in your bread. The blades are lost on the shafts, and the lead at the end of the shaft is small enough to bite into the blade gradually. The old style waves are much better. In fact, I found a way to retrofit my stock of old blades by filing a plug on one side of the hole. They fit better than the original and are much cheaper.
