A beginner hoping to grow healthy succulents and reading that river rocks help control moisture levels, which is critical to succulent success. As a beginner I didn't want to spend a lot of money and found they fit what I'm looking for. The stones range in size from medium to tiny and I would say most are 1/4-1/2" long. I planted my first bush, see photos and you can see how the pot looks decorative .Raise your head, they are packed in a large plastic bag and, most likely due to being stored in a warehouse and then transported, are quite gritty and dusty when opened.I put the stones in a colander and sprayed them for five minutes. Looks great after a shower If I need more stones I'll buy these Thank you
