Review on Zento Deals 8 Pieces of 6 Ohm 50W Load Resistors – Eliminate Flickering LED Turn Signal Lights, License Plate Lights, and DRL by Jeremiah Whiteley

Vehicle: 2006 VW New Beetle Position: brake/rear Yes, the electrical system behaves like the good old light bulb for me; but THEY ARE DANGEROUSLY HOT! When I say "hot" I mean nearly 400°F (as measured by a pyrometer)! I just put resistors on the brake circuit (not necessarily on the tail light side); In my beetle I only had to connect one resistor on each side (didn't change when there were resistors on both sides). I tested them at an ambient temperature of 36°F (outside) for about 15 minutes. terrible results - no air movement and prolonged use of the brake can mean a FIRE DISASTER. New Beetles are mostly plastic in and around the taillights/fenders and there is precious metal (all painted) to attach resistors (and these metal parts are attached to the plastic parts). I need to find a safer one. Ability to use LED brake/tail light bulbs in my Beetle. :-(
