Read memory: Memory is always read in Celsius even if the thermometer is set to Fahrenheit, resulting in additional decoding and translation steps that reduce the usefulness of the memory function. Sales Information: The product description clearly states that HOLDPEAK 981C has a D:S ratio of 12:1. It is not. The D:S ratio is 8:1 which is clearly shown on the side of the thermometer. This is misleading and should be changed to protect the company's reputation for integrity. But this non-contact thermometer deserves praise for its reliability, ease of use, clear display, and many features. I think this is a bargain and it will be a handy tool. I hope the manufacturer and trading company will fix the above minor issues.
