I bought this fleece to help my 9 year old son cover himself on various hikes. It fitted very well and worked great as a layer under his puffy jacket in temperatures above 20, but as a standalone jacket over a t-shirt he was chilly at around 55 degrees. The zip has a clasp that's easy for him to use, and even with light gloves he zips and closes easily. The pockets seem a bit big for his hands but I bought this jacket a size up hoping to wear it for a few seasons (and I'm glad I did) and I think he will grow in well and the pockets are the right size . He really likes it and says it's "comfortable". I was most happy about the price. Decent outdoor clothing, especially clothing suitable for children in remote areas, can be expensive and wear out so quickly that it's difficult to keep up and keep warm. This jacket pulled a lot out of the handbag.
