Review on Yokohama Ice Guard IG65 235/45 R18 98T winter by Jnis ubars ᠌

Do not hesitate to buy, the quality is amazing for the price.

Car: Mazda CX-5, front-wheel drive. The rubber was bought at the end of 2022. I was attracted by the price, studding and tread pattern, as well as the name of the manufacturer (Yokogama was standard on Mazda), so the choice was in favor of this model. Today I changed shoes for the summer, therefore, I share my observations during operation. Initially, I must say that I rolled the rubber on the order of 350-500 km of careful driving without sudden maneuvers at speeds up to 100 km / h. In the future, the operation is gentle, the winter is still . During the season, the tires went a little - about 3500 km, rolled in the snow once (south of the country), the rest of the time asphalt, incl. wet. Behavior on asphalt at speeds up to 130-140 is quite confident. We didn’t manage to try it in the snow, but on the whole it’s confident, in R17 there are about 170 spikes per wheel. During the season, from the entire set of wheels, I lost ONE spike in the central row on the front right wheel (I admit marriage when installing the stud). Summarizing, the tires are excellent, at the level of more famous and expensive brands like Hakki. It's definitely worth taking. Thanks for reading, good luck to everyone!

Pros
  • Comfortable low-noise, wear-resistant studded tires at an adequate price.
Cons
  • Subjectively: insufficiently confident behavior of rubber with rutting of the road surface due to the design of the stud.
