In 2005 I built my first PC. I knew the power supply is a very important part and started researching different brands. I really appreciated the Seasonic power supply and decided this was what I needed. Well, 12 years later, and that Seasonic from 2005 is still going. I did a build about 2 years ago and back then I didn't need anything with more power or features so I used a 12 year old Seasonic (it was the 3rd PC I had it installed on). However, I recently decided to upgrade my graphics card and add a few more peripherals. I read the announcements that Seasonic is coming out with a new power supply and because Seasonic was such a great brand to me and I wanted a modular power supply I got the new Seasonic Focus Gold+. I've never had a modular power supply before, it was a little tricky to make sure I connected everything correctly, but it's good that there aren't yellow and red wires everywhere and I don't try to hide them. I really like the modular power supply. The only downside I found was that the instructions were very minimal. I also wish there was a wiring diagram in the manual. I just traced the way my old PSU was connected and everything was fine. This power supply works quietly and well, and you can just feel the solid build and thoughtful design. Another great product from Seasonic!
