My HO alternator's original pulley was too large and could not support the open circuit voltage. This smaller one is the perfect size and fits so well you wouldn't know it wasn't made specifically for this - you gotta love tight tolerances. Using an impact wrench, I was able to remove a pulley nut (size 15/16" for most GMs) in seconds with one hand. So quick and easy I couldn't believe I almost got one of those alternative pulley removal kits. Definitely not required for this type of pulley.
