Works great wet or dry

I've tried many different types of sandpaper for my knife blades, but I keep coming back to sandpaper for its wet adhesion and long-lasting sharpness,

Use dry during project preparation, typically to remove existing finishes, rust and oxidation; this is also important when sanding and shaping putties and primers
