Review on πŸ”Œ Cisco-Linksys USB2HUB4 USB 4-Port Hub: Enhancing Connectivity and Efficiency by Omar Alradwan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very easy install, works great with USB 1 and 2

I bought this for my iMac but there are comments that may be appreciated by PC users. Now, in addition to my Sony Memory Stick keyboard and mouse, our: -iPod -Palm Pilot -HP printer and -Seagate 4GB hard drive can be connected to our computer at the same time without having to plug and unplug devices. (See our other reviews for details on the above items.) Pros: - Powers "USB 1" and "USB 2" devices that require more power than "USB 1". - Works out of the box, plug and play. As promised - Small and light - LED indicators show the hub is powered and ports are working - Light enough and flat enough that I can Velcro it and attach it to the back of my computer so it doesn't clutter my desk - Most packaging is recyclable (paper based), very little waste - reasonable price. good value for money Cons: - The power cord is a bit short (3ft) but adequate - The power cord also has a bulky transformer at the end of the power plug, so it displaces other power plugs when used in a power strip Neutral :- Requires power (cable included) -Although the USB ports are separated by a standard width, the back is a bit narrow. Watch out for devices that have a non-standard connector (although admittedly I can't think of any). If you connect a "new device" to the hub, you need to install drivers. If you move a device from one USB to another, it will be interpreted as a "new device". For maximum flexibility, offer to set up any device on any USB as long as you have a driver disk or buy a Mac. I believe this is a feature of Win OS, not this device. Conclusion: highly recommended. Connect and forget. Great!

Cons
