This shelf pin gauge is relatively inexpensive, however in my experience it has not been possible to create holes for a gouge in the front and back with this tool, which is the case. After tearing up a few pieces, I found that the holes weren't evenly spaced! The difference between the three holes on one end of the tool was at least 3/32 inch. After drilling holes at the front edge of the suitcase and flipping the tool over to drill the corresponding holes at the back edge of the hole from the front edge up, this causes the floors to become wobbly and crooked. Stay away. It is usually better to use a jig with a guide nozzle or a router with a guide bush. This gives you more accurate results (provided the jig is milled correctly) and saves wear and tear on the jig itself.
