Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Toyota Highlander Envelope Style Trunk Cargo Net: A Must-Have for 2014-2019 Highlander Hybrid Owners by Bill Sorenson

It seemed well built, but then.

(UPDATE) After a year of minimal use it just doesn't hold up. Stitched seams are torn, and the main elastic at the top is torn on one side and torn on the other. I would give it a few more months before it breaks and becomes unusable. I also found that the top clips constantly get in the way and accidentally get stuck and are VERY difficult to separate in low light. So much for my first very positive review (even lower). I used this net to convert a Toyota RAV4 to a Highlander with an OEM cargo net - there are a few key differences: The RAV4 net was not connected at the bottom, so it was more of a 'pocket'. this worked fine, but sometimes the bottom got caught on things. This one connects tightly at the top and bottom, which looks better and doesn't get in the way. It fits very well. This net has 3 clips to snap the top opening. When I put something in the trunk, I loosen the luggage net at both top ends, clip the holes in 3 places with clips and lay it horizontally. It doesn't interfere but is still attached at the bottom and I don't have to remove the mesh completely like I did with the OEM RAV4 mesh. This net also has a center pull tab to open the net if needed. Good design!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • The list will be long.
