The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the poor rear shank welding.

This is a heavy duty strike plate. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the bad welding of the rod at the back of the forward. The welding current was set high, which melted part of the rod, which also caused the plate to deform somewhat. Building this item in the USA would put an end to this poor build quality. I would also consider making a slightly different locking plate design to further strengthen the device.
