
I bought an Autel MX sensor to replace a dead stock sensor in a 2011 Toyota Sienna. Instead of having the car learn a new sensor, I programmed the MX sensor with the appropriate code from the OEM sensor. I found the faulty sensor ID by reading all four sensor numbers stored in the vehicle with the Autel MaxiTPMS 501 tool, taking a picture with my phone, testing each sensor with the 501 tool, and then going through the faulty sensor ID found elimination. . Reprogramming the new MX sensor was very easy with the tool 501. Took the new sensor to the tire shop when changing tires. Ha, it has changed. After driving about 7 miles for 20 minutes the car found that the old ID was back online - the TPMS light went out. The OBD still stored the trouble code so I went back and cleared it with the 501 tool AFTER making sure there were no other DTCs with a separate OBD II tool.
