Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice 2 205/50 R17 93T winter by Janis Janis ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

When choosing tires, I was guided by the results of various tests. Prior to that, I only drove on spikes, and since in winter the city is mostly asphalt, and snow and ice are mostly only in the yards with rare exceptions, I decided to try the friction clutch. I put it on the second season, no complaints, it suits the city perfectly in my opinion. I got what I wanted - silence (relative, Lancer x car, who knows what the noise level is in the cabin - they will understand). On ice, it is probably inferior to spikes, although in comparison with the previous ones, Gislaved nf5 did not notice much difference, besides, by the third season, Gislaved had 50% of spikes left, and this is with a calm driving style with no sudden braking and starts with slippage. Rubber impressed with patency in the snow, rows and pulls with a bang, slows down very well. It doesn’t float on the pavement, and the directional stability on the highway also didn’t raise any questions. It's the best for the city.

Pros
  • Quiet, soft, good permeability. The tire in my opinion is on par with top manufacturers at a lower price.
Cons
  • No
