Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Shimano Deore RD-M591: 9-Speed Mountain Bike Rear Derailleur for Optimal Performance by Ronny Welch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for what it can do but it has its limitations

I bought two of these Deore RD-M591 rear derailleurs, used one of them and it does everything I need it to. , very good. But it gets mixed reviews. Commuters, freeway drivers, and hikers who typically ride paved and smooth gravel roads also like this switch, but those traveling up and down a river and up and down steep wooded hills will experience chain bumps and ghost shifts, perhaps because this switch doesn't have a switch. clutch function. Also note that this is a direct mount derailleur designed for use on new bikes so a suspension mount for use on older bikes may or may not be available. And for playing with 7, 8 or 9 speed triple cranks, this derailleur has a really big chain load capacity of 45 teeth, although it is limited by the rear hub's maximum 34 tooth sprocket.
