I ordered this for my young bearded dragon to keep roaches, bsfl and other worms in the enclosure for an easy meal. Since the bugs are small, it works well to keep them at bay until he goes to eat and starts poking them out with his tongue, or until they decide to ride his leg if he sits on his plate while eating puts. I don't think it can grow into this dish as I'm afraid the larger roaches will be able to crawl out, but overall my dragon and I were very happy with it. I use the non-slip coaster that came with it. The slab doesn't seem to slide around the pool too much unless my dragon is in the mood for glass surfing. Good price. I wish they came in more colors.
