I have a couple of windows that were missing screens when I moved where I am (rental). The screens to be used already had/didn't have clips like the others. So I found this article and bought a 4 pack (I have two windows I want to put the screens in). Used two for a screen penetrating a window in a second bedroom/office and they work great. I used to have a window air conditioner in the summer/hot months but couldn't use it during the months when it wasn't there. I now have a portable air conditioner in this room (same size/BTU rating) and needed a screen in there. Now I can also detach the vent hose from the window and use it as a regular window with no problem. I will probably replace the window where I put the air conditioner in next season as this window is in the best position for me when using my desk. :) They are also easy to use. Just mix a little if you need them to fit the screen frame. Assume a position and push until it stops. Then attach the provided screws to the required locations to secure the screen. If you're lucky, you'll have messages from the previous settings that you can move to the right position so you can use them. Didn't even try as they were too far away to use. Also, I placed them closer to the ends (about 6-9 inches from each end) of the frame.
