I've had it for a few months now and use it every day for a 40 minute commute to work plus any other commutes I make. I considered using a different headset but not because of the fit. The Sena SRL lacks many of the features that modern headsets have. You would think Sena and Shoei would think more forward for a high-end helmet. Pros: 1. Fits - it fits very well on the helmet. 2. Fast connection to the phone. Cons: 1. Based on older Sena technology. There is no grid option to connect to other drivers that is included in later versions. 2. Lack of voice control without using buttons. Modern Bluetooth headsets aren't much better integrated for using Google or Siri. You shouldn't have significant pause to activate the AI, especially on a motorcycle. It should work just like my truck's Bluetooth or other headsets, and all I have to do is say "Ok Google" (I have an Android phone). I never use the Sena Assistant, and why should I? It would be nice if you could swap that with the AI so it reacts faster. Total lack of modularity. It would be much better if the microphones and speakers were pluggable. This would allow for an upgrade as well as replacing the defective part.4. Thin wires that break easily. I just opened the face of the helmet and didn't notice the microphone caught in it. The cable broke and the headset is now just headphones because the microphone broke off. This also has to do with modularity. The distance between the keys depends on the gloves you are wearing. The buttons are easy to press with bare hands. On my ICON Rimfire gloves, the buttons on this volume knob are a bit harder to manipulate. In the middle is the tone. At low speeds the sound is decent and as some here have mentioned it gets tinny at higher volumes, although the helmet does a good job of blocking out external noise. When you're driving at 75mph it's inevitable that this noise will increase and the speakers just can't keep up. As for the fees, I disagree. I can deal with it not working while charging, but again that's the modularity. A removable battery would be a good idea because I could charge it while using it. It definitely makes more sense, especially if you're planning long trips. Overall I'd say it's a great device for commuting, but be sure to consider other options if you commute frequently with other people or if you're looking for something a little more suitable for longer trips. Be careful when opening the helmet to avoid tearing it.
