Poor lid design: travel and to-go drinks

Bought 2 of these mugs for 3 year old twins. The cup has only been used a few times and one lid is already broken. The design makes the lid prone to easy breakage. My son slammed it against a coffee table as he was walking by and the lid cracked instantly. Since this is intended for small children, the lid needs to be more secure. What a waste of money as I now have a crying 3 year old.
