The Waterpik comes with its own case but it is soft walled and could be crushed in an accident with luggage when travelling. This case is attractive, protective and functional. I liked that it didn't come in black and I actually got the gray version. The unit fits perfectly, but on the opposite side, while accommodating the power cord and hose, the hose/hose fit is a little tight as the nozzle doesn't come loose but forms a long knot. That's the only reason I deducted a star. but for the Waterpik, which costs twice as much as the desktop version, I needed some extra protection, so I still highly recommend this case.
