These faucets come with water lines attached to the end that connects to the water shut-off valve, which has a small filter and a rubber grommet. Over tightening will deform the rubber and BLOCK the flow of water. How should I know? It happened to me! I thought I had a problem with the mixing valve. After disassembling the mixing valve I found them to be fine and so simple they almost NEVER cause problems. After checking the supply line connection, I found that the rubber grommet was blocking the line because it was overtightened. I was able to restore the gaskets and when I reconnected them and "just tightened" there were no leaks and the water flow was GREAT!
