I have had many coffee machines before, many fully automatic coffee machines, cheap espresso machines, metal filters over the cup, but this is the best coffee I have ever drunk. Nowhere have I ever made better coffee than with this Chemex. It has a very distinctive look, very decorative but useful. It's a 6 cup teapot, 30 ounces, that's 5 ounces each, so keep that in mind. The glass itself is very strong but not super thick or super thin, you definitely need to be careful with it as it really is glass. . The wood isn't too bad but I've heard the finish can wear off but it's wood it can be redone very easily. Putting the collar back on is not easy. I dread the day when I have to take it off for the first time and figure out how to put it back on. Also, this thing is a pain in terms of cleaning with a regular rag or a sponge or even a paper towel. You really need her coffee brush or something, so I'll be able to shell out money for that soon. Your filters are expensive. Normally $20 for 100 packs and not found in all supermarkets, but that's why this Chimex tastes as good as it is. I highly recommend buying this pourover if you fancy a great coffee, but I also recommend a coffee grinder.
