Review on πŸ”Œ Efficient 2-in-1 HDMI Cable and Network Cable Tester by Optimal Shop: Test RJ45 Cat5 Cat6 HDMI Wires by Justin Bishop

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Read the poorly translated manual. It is important.

Very light weight, can be battery or micro USB powered, tests physical connections for 8P8C (on RJ-45, T568A or B), 6P6C (RJ-11 is commonly used for phones) and HDMI -A (regular 19-pin full-size connectors). The manual is in poorly translated English, which never ceases to amaze me: why waste good resources on translation only to get a really bad translation? It's brutal, but the key is to check the documentation on how to enable, disable, and change modes. Testing 6P6C is implied by the picture, and I assume this is done by plugging an RJ-11 into an RJ-45 jack, but the manual doesn't list that possibility. She works. It replaces my existing tester. It's cheap enough that if it falls out of a work bag, the biggest cost is the delay in replacing it.
