My mechanic friend is on his feet 12-13 hours a day. He must have non-slip shoes and as you know it is very difficult to find one that looks and feels decent. Most non-slip surfaces are hard and uncomfortable. After reading some reviews I found out that other people had issues with being about a half size too big, but I went ahead and ordered his normal size. I thought with the new insoles I gave him they would probably fit. I was right. You can see that they are roomier than his regular tennis shoes, with more room around the toe and around the toes, but that's actually how he prefers it. He said as long as they don't rub his heel up and down they're fine so he's been wearing them for almost a week now and today he told me they're doing a hell of a job for him! He says it's the most comfortable work shoe he's ever had (except for the Sketchers, which he wears in the winter - it's a win-win for Sketchers anyway!). They are breathable but keep liquids off his legs. They are comfortable without insoles but he has a problem with his right foot so I buy him insoles for all his shoes. My best advice is if you have a thick or wide foot, order your normal size and they will likely fit you. If you have really skinny legs like my friend, they could go up a half size, but like I said, he's fine with the insoles. I really hope this helps!
