These are not the spacers you are looking for. advance.

I'm disappointed with this set. I'll start with the positive things. positive. The struts themselves appear to be of acceptable quality. Please note that if I don't update this review with additional positive feedback within the next few months, I should retract my previous statement as unfortunately the product has let me down. As for my immediate issue, the lugs are too long for the application this is intended for. VW uses a 27mm OEM cleat and if you add a 15mm shim you will need 42mm cleats (or 1.65354") to support the wheel. The cleats I used received in my kit were 45mm to 48mm long (1β…ž"). Of course, you should not use eyelets that are too long for your application. because you may exceed the designed depth of the lip and catch with the wheel hub. What is the problem I am facing. So now my front wheels don't spin when the new wheels are fitted (go back to the old ones and the new wheels are in the garage). So now I have 2 options, either try to figure out how to clean shave a 34mm lens. End of 20 hardened bolts or spend more money to buy the right length wheel lugs. Now I fully admit that I assumed the lugs in the kit would be the correct length. and I didn't see any returns after installation until it was too late. I took them to a professional tire shop to have them fitted (when I bought the wheels) and the shop was more than happy to buy me a new set of cleats (for $120 - no thanks). Needless to say, read the fine print, don't think it's a kit, it's a better deal and I wish you better luck than me.

Pros
  • Ideal for fixing backlash problems when the wheels hit shock absorbers or calipers
Cons
  • Some trouble
